Students M.Sc program
Candidates who have qualified through JAM (Joint Admission test for Masters) and who fulfill the minimum educational qualifications such as a 3-year/ 6 sem Bachelor’s degree with Chemistry as a subject and Mathematics at (10+2) level are eligible to apply to the M.Sc. program. Application for admission to the M. Sc. programs of IIT Palakkad should be done through the Institute’s JAM portal. Instructions and more details shall be made available on the IIT Palakkad website from time to time. Applications are usually invited in the month of April.
Students Ph.D. program
The advertisements for Ph.D. admissions are posted on the IIT Palakkad website from time to time. Candidates who have an M.Sc in chemistry or Chemistry related disciplines with a valid GATE score or JRF or any other valid research fellowships are eligible to apply. The final selection happens after a technical interview that will be conducted on campus. The hiring of Ph.D. students typically happens twice a year. Depending on the needs of a project, hiring may also happen anytime during the year. Information regarding this shall be posted on the IIT Palakkad website.
Faculty
The department looks for young, brilliant researchers who have a penchant for teaching to join the faculty. The area of research for recruitment shall be advertised on the Institute website.
Postdoctoral Fellows
Candidates with doctorates and looking for postdoctoral research fellowships may approach an individual faculty member to explore project positions or nominations to national or state-level postdoctoral fellowships.
Project staff
Students with Master's degrees looking for a short-term project position may approach individual faculty members for suitable positions. Advertisements regarding such openings may also be found on the ICSR pages.
