Chemistry Colloquium is the premier event of the department in which we invite highly prolific and accomplished academicians to the campus. The special logo that is created for the event reflects the spirit of the department of chemistry. It has the letter 'C' and its inverted mirror image to create a letter 'H' in the white space. The colours blue and green represent the aqua, which sustains biological life and responsible living, respectively. The letter H is symbolic of the hydrogen which is the future molecule of the planet's sustenance.
In addition to a well-publicized public lecture by the guest, the event is designed to engage with the learned speaker in a close one-one interaction with students and faculty to discuss science. It is a great opportunity for the Ph.D. scholars of the department to seek a critical view on their work.
